Dred Guest room 4: Jonathan Hode's Room

Guest Room 4:

Jonathan Hode's Bed

We recently came across this lovely photograph of the one of the guest rooms taken sometime during the 1940s for inclusion in a book, Historic Midwest Homes.  Unfortunately the book was never published, but this fine shot remains to show us what the Inn looked like during the early Jorgensen years.

Legend has it that the bedstead in this photo is the one in which Jonathan Hode was sleeping upon when he was murdered by Jeremiah Wolfe in 1871.

For this issue. the Hode room is serving as the home of Walter Jarvis.  Step in and read his story  "Seated Demon."
